my registrar in singapore asked me via googletalk if i miss dressing shabbily to work. (we wear scrubs in a&e you see)
i must admit i do. now i have to dress like a prat, deal with prats, and sometimes talk like a prat.
you have no idea how snobbish some medical students can be.
you, my fellow 4th year medic, may work your mojo, a.k.a. of spewing immense amounts of knowledge, on lower beings, a.k.a. medics yr 3 and below, but save it on me.
i don't want to know what you know. if it is relevant to the question i'm perusing at the moment, just the answer would be sufficient thanks. that will earn you my respect.
what won't earn you my respect is you going on a spew about where you learnt it, who was the big shot that taught you, how their marvelous techniques astounded you and how you soon picked them up. did it occur to you that other people in the room have had more experience in the same area that you so brillantly expounded on? we just choose the shut the hell up because, well, do we REALLY want to lower ourselves to your level?
so let your ego feed itself, honey, cos i certainly ain't doing it any favours.
