you know you're back in sg when you spend your day with mum eating and shopping.
twas quite a busy day though mum actually let me get up at 11! Yay! *jumps for joy!*
we started out at holland village, to stock up on some sore throat meds [and cos i've fallen prey to another flu :( ] and to get a ribbon for my corset top (it frayed in the wash)
then we met aaron for lunch at crystal jade la mien xiao long bao (my throat can't handle anything else), and regaled him with tales from beijing!
after that we went to get some parking coupons before driving home to dump our shopping and to pass aaron his presents (a seal carved with his chinese name and 2 medical textbooks for him, and packet of preserved kumquat and a chinese peach and lye for his family. hope they enjoy their goodies! aaron also finally said hi to my grandma, who has been bugging me since i came back about why aaron never came round to say hi to her.
with all our goodbyes done, we headed to wash mummy's car and send aaron home since he lived near the petrol station that mum washes her car in! aaron also passed me the US pics so that i could show my folks. everything just seemed to work out!
next stop was bugis junction, mum managed to get her pouch at the wallet shop and her glucosamine at bugis, i managed to get my tops (though they weren't the 2 that i wanted to get at the start, but a 2nd trying made me think twice), and my watch (with 12 numbers and a second hand!!! *beams*)
since yunnan bookshop was nearby, mum dropped me to get book covers for my books and i got an extra o&g book!:) i then walked over to meet mum at raffles city, where mum got an evening dress (family wedding coming up).
we also found a cd with nice worship songs playing in allure where mum got her dress! Michael W Smith CD called worship. will look out for that!:)
overall a great day! am dead tired now and need to go to the loo pretty urgently! till next time!:)
