spent last night at Dr Sorrels place playing pool and drinking red wine (aaron was designated driver again) it was great fun and great conversation. it was very nice of Dr Sorrels to invite us over to her house again, esp since she's not part of the programme anymore (she's retired)
we also discussed plans to have a bbq on wed night to thank all the drs and staff involved in the programme. it'll be like 60 pple we're inviting (WHAT?!) and i hope we can fit them all into the condo. well we should do SOMETHING to thank them, they've all been so nice to us!
i can't believe this programme is drawing to a close, one month has gone so fast. it's been great but at the same time i really do long to go home. it's time, it's time.
my last day with plastics was a short one. it was a half day for starters, then the last couple of patients didn't want me in the room (one had a kid and wanted him to leave the room, so i left with him. she was checking up on her implants. one was a student who wanted to get breast reduction. the last was the Dr's good friend). so i got off at 11+, and decided to get some lunch at the hospital. afterall, i haven't had a decent lunch since monday!
met mark in the canteen and we had a good chat over lunch. it's ironic that you only really get to know someone better when you're about to part. oh well, he does live nearby in glasgow!
spent some time finding directions to busch gardens (theme park we're going to on the weekend), reading my book (the burned children of america), before i went home to chill for a bit, and here i am again, reading (and replying!) emails, blogging and catching up on friends' blogs (which i haven't done in ages)
might not be able to blog or reply to emails next week as i won't have the car and i'll be with a new dr. we'll see how that goes!
