thank goodness i brought that book.

was left waiting for the dr for one hour and managed to finish about a third of the book already, at least i'm going in one hour later tmr!

haematology/oncology is not as depressing as i had thought. in fact most of the patients i saw today were recovering ones!

it's good to know though, that even though cancer is regarded to be such a fatal disease, that there are people out there who are survivors.

i'll leave you with an inspirational poem i read in one of the consultation rooms:

Cancer Is So Limited
It cannot cripple LOVE
It cannot shatter HOPE
It cannot corrode FAITH
It cannot destroy CONFIDENCE
It cannot kill FRIENDSHIP
It cannot shut out MEMORIES
It cannot silence COURAGE
It cannot invade the SOUL
It cannot destroy PEACE
It cannot quench the SPIRIT
It cannot lessen the POWER OF THE RESURRECTION
~ Author unknown
To all those who have family or friends who have suffered from cancer, know that the Lord is with them all the way, and if they believe? they will be with Him come what may.

A little rough around the edges,
rather fragile and stained red by the
change Jesus’ death and his blood
has brought about in my life
