friday night was really weird when we went to this "party" hosted by Aline's friend at the club.
1stly, when we got there it was EMPTY. then we went to the club bit and it was less empty, but they were showing a kayak video. apparantly, he was the top kayaker of 2002 and he was premiering his kayak video. the lads went crazy and went " extreme" at every opportunity, making X signs with their hands. we were obviously bored out of our minds and the music after the video was crap as well.
we wandered about after that trying to find a nice pub/club/bar but to no avail and got home at 1am.
sat was a late start at 10am, getting out of the house at 11am to head to williamsburg.
this time we headed to Busch Gardens, a theme park. the main theme was europe and you could get into different "countries": ireland, scotland, germany, france, italy
we had food in ireland. it was pretty cheap for amusement park food i must say!
it was really tiring, but we really had loads of fun. all the tension before we got on the roller coasters (we had 2 hour waits as well!), all the various poses and pictures. it was good fun, we left at 9+pm and got home after stopping by at Wendy's for a drive thru meal.
Wendy's is fantastic i must say! way better and way cheaper than macs! we got home at 10+ to eat, watch the world poker championships, and then headed to bed.
sunday was equally fun though only me, aaron, mark, colm and ian went along. we went back to williamsburg (again!) but this time we headed back to Prime outlets (again!), but not before we stopped at Wendy's for lunch (again!)
by the time we got there it was 3pm. i didn't think i could find any more bargains, but i DID!!! you'll all be pleased to know that i did not buy anything black in colour this time round! haha, but really great bargains. glasgow should have outlet malls like this. they'll be a big hit!:)
we got home at 6+ and headed back out to la siesta (mexican place recommended by someone) and had a real nice mexican meal, though they did rip us off, by charging us 18% gratuity (only for groups 8 and above it said in the menu). this was partly to celebrate mark's bday as well!
monday marked (no pun intended) my foray into the world of rheumatology, along with carl, who's in the same clinic as me. it's been quite interesting. with a lot of pple having various aches and pains. the drs and nurses are really nice though, and the dr even lent me a book, which i've found most useful and helps me to better understand things that are going on around me.
after work we grabbed some dinner then headed out to watch Superman returns. it was better than what i expected i must say. but then again i wasn't expecting much! anyway, it was mark's bday (sunday was just the celebration), and he wanted to watch superman (plus he wears the superman shirt around the house so often) and it was good fun.
got home really tired though, and crashed into bed near 12.
today was surprisingly busier than yesterday. patients took a lot longer than usual, but we ended the day quite comfortably. we're going to head to Ukrops (methodist grocery store which doesn't open on sunday) to buy food for tmr's bbq (to thank the doctors) i dunno how many of mine would be coming but oh well. hope there's enough food!:)
