a very expensive day.

today marked the 4th day of our journey in nyc.

we started of the day at 430am, waking up to book our timetables. unfortuantely, we were both stuck with timetable J, cos when it refreshed, most of the timetables were gone. Oh well.

then we went back to sleep and woke up at 930, so we could get down to TKTS to get cheap tickets for rent! which we managed to, pretty good seats at half the price. what more could you ask for?!

after that we headed to the Guggenheim museum, where it was mostly an exhibit of Zaha Hadid, a Baghdad born architect, based in London, and designs very unique, fluid-looking buildings. she even designed something for North One in S'pore. whatever North One is. sigh, so out of touch of sg stuff!

then we headed to Papaya king! what do you think they sell? papaya juice? well you'd be partially right. they actually have one of the most famous hotdogs in nyc. they were pretty nice though, bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside; the frankfruter was pretty good and so was the sauerkraut! it came with curly fries as well!:)

by the time we finished eating, we had to rush to watch rent. it was an ok show i guess, i'm more of a classics girl i guess. contemporary drama not really my thing. but it was still nice overall!:)

then we decided to go to the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, but it was closed when we got there. the guide book said it closed at 6, but the thing actually closed at 5.

we sat ard the sony arcade for a while, before deciding to walk about. we ended up in F.A.O. Schwarz, a rather big toy shop, there was some pretty interesting stuff. including the big microbes! they're the enlarged version of the bugs, made in stuff toy form!:) uber cute!:)

by then we were running late to meet dan for dinner, as we were rushing to the train station, we managed to wander through 5th avenue and see all the shops i'll never be able to shop in! haha.

anyway, dinner was at Lucy's Latin Kitchen. LOVELY food i must say. thanks dan for treating us to dinner!:)

for drinks:
dan: apple mojito
aaron: Margarita
me: nuevo mojito (mint and sugarcane)

for appetisers:
dan: some sausage thing
aaron: yellowtail
me: tuna

me and aaron's was actually raw fish cured in lime juice. it turned out great actually!

for entrees:
dan: lamb
aaron: duck
me: lobster paella (with shrimp, squid, tomatoes, basil paella rice)

ok so i wasn't really paying attention to the other guys dishes, but my dish was really good though! so filling that aaron had to finish it for me!

dessert was port for the 3 of us, the boys had clark, and i had taylors. man, i feel so old, but i really like port!

tired now, should i do another 2 museums tmr or should i go to the factory outlet?

decisions, decisions!
