it's all been done. whoo hoo hoo!

got my results one weekend early. and i'm proud to say that you're looking at a 4th year medic!:)

and to celebrate my results? a visit from rory and vil of course!:)

it was lovely having them over. and damn relaxing too! all the tension building up to results day melted away whilst chatting to the 2 of them!:) my only regret was that they missed the west end festival last sunday! they would have enjoyed that. it's scotland's mardi gras afterall!

touring on sat wasn't fantastic. the med sch was closed, and the fantastic bird's eye view as seen from the main uni was obscured by misty horizons. oh well. but hey, at least they got to see the main uni, which everyone marvels at :) then it was off to byres road for some shopping and some solid coffee (or chocolate in my case!) in tinderbox! (love those independent coffee places!)

at night i went of for sue's bday party. was nice catching up with everyone, before we all head our seperate ways over the summer!

sunday was interesting! it was even gloomier, and we all had a late start (damn tired from waking up at 7 everyday! and the other 2 were tired from little sleep on the train, which looks damn fab for a sleeper train might i add!) but hey, aaron had the most brillant idea of catching a movie at the grosvenor. plush leather seats and you can bring in glasses of wine from the nearbgy bar, or just plain popcorn if you so choose! and of course, it didn't fail to disappoint! the comfortable and spacious seats, the wonderful hot chocolate (for the girls) and lattes (for the guys) from beanscene (another independent coffee) the wonderful company, and a very witty movie (Thank You For Smoking), made for a wonderful afternoon out.

after church, we rendezvous-ed for some morrocan dinner at the Argan cafe. 8 types of tapas(deep fried calamari rings, humous, fried sardines, aubergine cavier, falafel with garlic yoghurt sauce, mussels, sausage, feta cheese salad), fantastic main course (3 lamb dishes, and rory had stuff courgettes with veal mince), a bottle of moroccan red wine, and sinfully delightful dessert, left us very full, and very satisfied.

the chef actually remembered me and aaron! in fact we ran into a couple who had been there the last time we were there as well! how qiao (coincidental) is that?! we told the chef that we had brought friends from london here, i think he gave us free mint tea (must try if you get a chance) and charged us less. the more cynical aaron thinks it's cos the waitresses left for the night and the 2 men left behind (chef and waiter) couldn't figure out how much to charge us. haha.

was sad to see those 2 "crazy kids" go? it was lovely having folk ard. sometimes i feel so isolated in glasgow. not because i don't have friends here, but rather i feel so out of touch with folk from back home and it's always nice to see a friendly face! :)

wouldn't you say that's a great way to celebrate getting into 4th year?

P.S. It is You Lord who brought me through. I have never put so much faith in you with regards to my exams, and i thank you Lord for giving me this oppourtunity to serve you!:)
