lethargy... sianness... whatever you want to call it...

either way i've got it big time.

Christmas hols was a great break. maybe too great from the looks of it.

i need a major impetus to kick start work.

you know how they say be careful what you wish for? well, whoever they are, they were right.

one giant kickass surprise mock exam this morning at 9. lecture my ass. those cunning (or should i say disorganised) medical educators!

whatever the case, i am vaguely (and by that i mean vaguely is actually quite a stretch) inspired to start work on my kong-sized assignment. :(

will tell you more abt the wonders of japan as i once again procrestinate.

i have to admit i agree with limz. i was never a big fan of japan until i went there. now i really wanna learn the language, earn lots of money, just so i can go there again! heehee :)

japan is a wonderful, very cultured place. although the downsides are it's: expensive, crowded, and they don't speak english.

not saying they should "sell out" or whatever. i think it's japanese is a wonderful language. it's just tough luck for tourists. having said that, most of the tourists that we saw in japan were... japanese. haha. so i guess there's a reason why they don't really see the need for english as such.

another thing fascinating abt japan is how technology is so wired into society.

ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, i give you the wonders of japan:

1. heated toilet seats: yes, it's winter. yes, you'd expect to freeze your ass off when you sit on the toilet. but does it happen? no siree. the toilet seats are heated! and let me tell you from experience, it feels damn shiok. though sometimes it gets a little too warm (just switch it off lor.)

2. bidet and bullseye aiming: what am i talking abt? well, if you want, you could get your nether regions washed after you've peed or taken a crap. there are buttons that you can press that start a jet of water shooting at your butt! it's amazing!

3. flushing noises: apparantly they believe women find it embarrassing to be heard peeing or taking a crap. with the touch of a button, you find yourself hearing flushing noises for like 15 sec or so. teehee!

4. heated mirrors: why would you need that you think? well, ever came out of a hot shower and couldn't see yourself in the mirror? never again with this invention! the heat prevents the mirror from fogging up, thus leaving you some mirror space, even if you've just came out of the shower!

5. the trains leave ON THE DOT. they arrive early and leave ON THE DOT. the only time they've been late, is because it's been snowed in.

6. the place is really really clean: even the train tracks are clean. it's like cleaner than s'pore in some ways! and we all know how THAT is amazing *snigger*

7. pple wear masks if they have the flu: how socially responsible is that! you sure won't get that in s'pore. instead, you get pple sneezing or coughing in your face. ewwwwwwwwwwww.

ah i've exhausted the interesting things abt japan for now...

will blog more when i finish my work!
