had 1st round of NHG hospital tours today. visited bukit batok polyclinic, NUH and AH.
polyclinic was ok. quite empty i thought. presentation on primary care was a little long winded and but the tour wasn't half bad.
NUH presentation was really short. but the tour wasn't terrific.
AH impressed me the most today. the pple there were really friendly. not just to us. but to each other. .that really says a lot. i mean you want to work in an environment where colleagues can actually be your friends as well right? it has a REALLY nice environment as well. quite peaceful and quaint. good for patient recovery i expect. too bad it's really small though. i've also heard that most NUS medics wouldn't want to be posted there at all! wonder why that is?!
based on today's tours alone, i would want to work for a hospital like AH. unfortunately, they'll be moving to yishun to form the Northern General Hospital. erm yishun?! that's like how far?!
oh well... we shall see. IMH and TTSH up tmr!
