just a quick one before i collapse on my bed.

today was certainly an interesting day.

spent the whole of last night researching on medical electives in the states and where we might possibly go. it seems like we may just have to go to s'pore to do our elective this year. just cos most US schools require that you be in your 4th/last clinical year, and we are neither. then again the US has a different med sch system, so we might just apply and keep our fingers crossed. elective rotations in their hospital doesn't come cheap. you have to pay US$50-60 to just apply. and in some cases, you have to pay tuition fees to them as well.

case in point: brown medical school requires you to pay US$2873 for a 4 week elective!!!

finally KO-ed at 3 and had to wake up the next morning for church... that left me really grumpy... was annoyed at my bro... but it was all a matter of miscommunication, and really, how can you stay angry in the House of the Lord?

felt like the Spirit really moved me today in church, especially with regards to confession... and reminded me to take the words we say during a communion service very serious. Years and years of reading the words of the communion service (i think we've all pretty much memorised it whether we wanted to or not) can leave a person jaded sometimes, and repeating those words become just a formality. Today was different somehow for me, i truely felt the words and prayers move me, and it made me a whole lot guiltier about taking it for granted sometimes. Still, a blessed service indeed.

after that headed to wisma with mum cos she had a hair appointment at the scene. i thought it would have been dead boring, but then i realised i don't usually have much time to speak to mum, cos she works late and comes back so tired... so yes, had a nice talk with her about stuff going on... just random things that have been going on in our lives....

dyed and cut hair, and buying 1 pair of flip flops, 1 pair of office shoes, and 1 jar of face lotion later (mum bought all this btw), i headed to meet the RP gang for tea. we decided on coffee club outside kino. nice to see everyone (everyone being karen, mich, elysa, jack (who took a lot of flack from us for his hair, glasses, umbrella), wee yang and his gf, noelle) and the chocolate stuff that me, mich and elysa was sooo sinful.. the ice chocolate drink (which we accidently took from wee yang... sorry sweetie!) and the mudpie (WAH LAU, eat chocolate until we die ah...)

had to meet 4/2 friends at 7.. but we split at 540pm... so i headed to kino to find a book to kill my time... read this book called "Stiff, the life of a human cadaver" or something like that... a real interesting read, managed 69 pages in 1+ hours... not bad at all.

headed to sakae sushi at wheelock and had a nice meeting with karen, janice, shmint! had a great itme there too, although i was getting quite sleepy cos of the lack of sleep last night? hee hee

anyway to karen (lee in case you're wondering): there are many times where we feel a little down and out.. not only in our earthly existance, but also in our spiritual lives. well all i can offer is that, God will be waiting for you no matter what. He loves you as His child. although you might want a break, don't ever be afraid to go back to God, He really wants you to be in His presence. i encourage you to continue reading the bible and praying. don't get too stressed about it though. :) take good care girl, and keep in touch!:)
