had a wonderful time tonight.

had a belated bday bbq at my place.. and had loads of friends from home over.

it was really nice meeting up with pple i hadn't seen in AGES... 1+ year for some of them?

it's just really wonderful to see all of them come together...

even thought they had to leave for J&J's party.. at least their departures were staggered...

i had set myself up for disappointment initally, seeing that i wanted a party where i could hang out with my friends and stuff. but even that was hard to do with pple leaving...

but i didn't feel that way at all. i was so simply overjoyed to see my friends again, that any amount of time they spent at the party, no matter how small, was treasured. i was just THAT glad to see everyone all over again!

although i didn't spend THAT much time with everyone... i was able to make catch-up dates with them as well! so that was another bonus!

i was really touched by their well wishes and gifts and all the help rendered at the bbq...

to jeetha: thanks so much girl! you came the earliest and left the latest! and *ahem* slaved at the BBQ all night

aaron... thanks for everything! including sending folk home, to BV mrt station etc. and then coming back to help! and erm sorry xinyi mistook you for the satay man heehee ;)

XUAN RONG... you bugger! i can't believe you remembered what i said at borders the other day! thank you so much!

to all the councillors + zhihao (heehee) who came... thank you so much.. it was really nice seeing you all... esp the MIA folk like Yaoch, Zhong Lei, Niko etc... i really must apologise for not speaking much to you all...but trust me it really meant a lot that you guys were there... and for those of you who gave gifts.. thank you so much!

to my fellow 3-we-endured-yap-together-J peeps... same to you guys.. i know i didn't manage to catch up with you guys loads either... i hope the overwhelming number of councillors didn't freak you out... but thanks for making the trip down.. and for my zen-look-a-like in the form of a beanie baby!:)

to karen lee: haha.. i think you win the prize for being the person i spoke to for the longest time during the party... but it was nice to catch up no? :)

to cherlyn & paulina: keeping the 2/8 flame alive?! haha... thanks for coming down.. and for the gifts!:)

last but certainly not least: to my family and sulastri (my maid)... thank you all so much... i know that you guys worked really hard to get this bbq off the ground.. marc for the charcoal.. dad for the ntuc shopping... and who can forget.. mum! with all the lovely cooking and erm.. getting us really nice sausages!

thank you Lord for being so gracious.. cool weather.. and just letting me the warmth of family and friendship surround me that night!

overall i had a swell time.. so thank you guys so much.. once i get pictures off my erm... antiquated camera i'll try to scan them and put them online! :)

PS yes i know i still owe you guys pics of italy haha
