woke up this morning to bad news... my grandpa had been admitted to hospital...
was supposed to go down and visit but my uncle said no point so many pple standing ard waiting for him to come out of theatre... so i stayed home...
and WHEN i wanted to go to hospital and see him... it was POURING outside... so armed with my bro's brolly.. i headed out when the rain seemed lighter... at least the bus arrived only a few minutes later so it wasn't so bad!
then met my grandma and my aunt in the lift of SGH! hee.. what a coincidence.
then headed to visit grandpa.. he seemed rather alert though he still had chest pain :(
hoepfully tmr he'll be able to eat real food....
had class gathering which i was 1.5 hours late for since i was at the hospital... had to wait for doctors to do some tests and remove some wires.
but class gathering was great... was great seeing the usual gang... managed to have a wee chat with everyone which was good!
we started at thai express esplanade where i had my usual phat thai and avocado milkshake... some folk ordered dessert... but they didn't charge us for it... so we high-tailed it out of there... with the extra money... fast!
with the extra money... some of us headed to haagen dazs to have ice cream fondue.. and man was it yummy! had to wait a while outside though as it was full house.. and we preoccupied ourselves with replacement swear words... (shit= da pian, c*** b** = vagina, etc) all this in a bid to get the table leave earlier! heehee
we got all silly and embarrassing as our class usually is.. but it was nice nonetheless...
some quotable quotes of the night..
karen:(upon having smoke blown in all our faces) somebody's smokin'.... (upon realising that that may be a complement) and i mean that in a bad way!
wenzheng: (upon replacing the hokkien swear word for vagina... by saying vagina in english... in a bid to get pple to leave the table faster) you know some people might actually find that appetising... (erm thanks wenz)
chee wei: (upon hearing that there's no more fondue) nooooooooooooooo (and he actually said that so dramatically that the waitress made the extra effort to check for the fondue.. and hey... it worked and we got our fondue... spent the extra money we had from thai express and each paid a dollar more... :))
hee... a fun night indeed... looking forward to seeing these folks again... esp since we still have chee wei's pre-departure party (ok so he doesn't actually have one planned... but he WILL right chee wei... c'mon.. you know you want to play mahjong!:))....
*beams and beams* oh what a night!:)
