heya... in florence now... at an internet cafe... italy has been ok so far.. venice is a mega tourist trap no doubt... but we had fun.... boat rides... interesting room mates and other stories... have been keeping a journal... which i shall attempt to post with pictures....
will post more if there is time left on our internet card...
20 min left! oh well.... we're a little sunburnt believe it or not... and well... it's like acclimatising to s'pore pretty much...
our legs are v sore though... and well.... we're actually sweating...ewww...
still have to stock up on water and other supplies for b/fast and lunch... since we can only afford to eat out for dinner... i've been packing sandwiches for b/fast and lunch.... our only luxury being orange juice in the mornings.... ok lah.. aaron just reminded me that we had procuitto ham in the sandwiches along with salami and bologna.. which is mighty fine if you ask me...
bought 1.5l of pinot noir from a shop in venice...
1. the wine is in a BARREL in the shop 2. erm... he gave us our wine... in a plastic MINERAL WATER BOTTLE... how sad is that?!
oh well.... aaron has been eating some squid ink stuff... pasta and stewed cuttlefish...erm... v black everything.. tongue.. teeth... erm... stools as well... heehee... i know... ewww....
i've been having pizza.. the last one i had was utter shite... and it was the most ex as well... so not worth it.....

too bad it's too late though... or could have spoken in peeps... it's 2am in s'pore now...
will have to queue up really really early to go to the Uffizi gallery either tmr or the day after.. like 8am early... and it's the furthest attraction away from us.. sigh... good luck to us....
so far we've been pretty blessed and have managed to get to most places at the right times...
the only thing abt visiting churches is that you have to wear skirts/jeans below your knees and have to cover your shoulders... which is the last thing you want to do in this weather... thank goodness some places have aircon..
incidentally, that's the only bad thing abt our hostel in florence... there's no aircon... and the toilet is.. well not in the room...
managed to download the photos into aaron's muvo... so this will probably be the last you hear from us until we get to rome... where hopefully the internet connection will be ok...
you see, we had 10 min free internet access in our hostel in venice.. but..
1. it was a 56k dial up 2. they were using windows 98... according to aaron.. that means no plug and play... so we couldn't unload our photos.... oh well...
hopefully florence will be ok... am actually quite tired from all the travelling... and erm.. getting fat on pizza! :(
