dear me.. i never thought i'd say that in glasgow..esp since i swore off jap food in glasgow after a very lousy 1st experience in the lighthouse restaurant... the rice was hard and the food really wasn't worth the money...
but lo and behold... i find this restaurant called Oko!
they have a student buffet for 11.50.. free flow sushi and hot food... sparkling water on tap/green tea... a bowl of miso soup.... not bad at all!
BUT, the down side was.. we only had an hour... so off i went grabbing plates of the conveyor belt... and starting downing the food like i hadn't eaten in days...
but hey.. there was strategy... all the plates i took were different! so i got to sample the full range of sushi they had to offer!
then after that i slowed down and started eating the favourites.. haha...
sadly... towards the end of the hour.. the waitress came over and told us that our hour will soon be up.... aaron still thinks if it wasn't for my *ahem* ferocity... they might have let us stay there longer... *shrug*... to each his own...
he also thinks we might have had 40 plates of sushi btwn us.... hmm....
anyway.. at the exact moment the girl told us our hour is nearly up... he turned to me and said... eh i feel hungry again...
*rolls eyes* MEN... and when the girl left... he promptly took another plate of sushi off the conveyor belt...
the dessert wasn't too bad either... i had some sliced melon and aaron had the creme brulee!:)
oh well... yum yum... was a good day indeed...
