man.... i succeeded more in falling than in skiing... ski boots are no joke man... they're inflexible... huge and heavy... basically rendering you very immobile... and it hurts to bend your ankle when you squat.. leaving you body in very weird contortions when you fall.... and fall i did... NUMEROUS times...
guess it didn't help that it's been an extremely exhausting week for me... i've had 3-5 hours of sleep every night.. and it's uttering wiped me out... i need my sleep.. or i'm one grumpy b.... erm BEAR haha....
anyhow... shall try snowboarding next year instead... looks easier.. and more fun!
anyway.. yesterday's sermon was very good i felt.. and all the songs were quite meaningful as well.... basically a couple from church are to become the next OMF (overseas mission fellowship) cambodia field directors.. so there was a commissioning service for them yesterday... i thought it was quite apt.... cos well it brought up the story of joshua.. and how we can apply his story to our lives... joshua's strength came from 3 sources... he was faithful... he was called to do God's will and he submitted to God's will...
it made so much sense! a lot of things that have gone wrong recently basically boiled down to lack of trust in God... and that i really have to just submit myself into His will.. and let Him be the centre of my life... without Him we really are nothing... in God we can find rest.. truth.. love.. all the things that we complain and whine that we lack... He is sufficient for our needs...
now i just have to really focus on making that come true in my life i guess...
