woke up and managed to jog.. but was running late so no crunches... then rushed down to Raffles Hospital to return my uniform and cos i was supposed to meet one of the docs for lunch....
luckily when i got there the doc was still with a patient...
was really strange cos on our way down to lunch we met Dr Prem Kumar in the lift... of course i didn't KNOW he was Dr Prem Kumar.. but Dr Hong introduced us... then he said.. Charlotte right? your mum is Magdalene? i was SHOCKED to say the least.... so strange.. then tonight my mum tells me one of the Doctors in OUB (one of the R(affles) M(edical) G(roup) clinics) asked when i was going back to glasgow! SHOCKING again... i don't even know him... but he's quite cute if that's any consolation... i dunno but it makes me rather uneasy that pple know me... well maybe it's cos i dont' know what they think of me.. but i really think i didn't do anything wrong by asking for a change of letter.. afterall i have no reason to be terminated and it doesn't look good basically.... sigh... i hope they don't TOTALLY hate me now.... sigh....
as we were going out for lunch... it started raining so Dr hong drove next door to park at seiyu... and well said i should have asian food so i decided on saskae sushi.. haha what else... she wanted to go to a club.. but i was like... ERM are you sure they allow me in with jeans? but anyway she had to rush back for a patient at 2pm.. so we decided somewhere nearby would be better...
was really nice talking to her... her husband gave her this really funny watch.... it appears like a clock on one side... on the other side it's this naked man bonking this naked woman from behind haha.... so every second the guy erm... enters her? haha either way it's so cheeky... like a little secret only you would know haha
Dr hong i think really leads a very fulfilling life.... i mean she works alternate half days so that she can spend time raising her kids.. but in her spare time she writes books for children and adults.... she also goes all round to give talks and seminars... i mean.. that's really a full and meaning full life... and she looks like she's having fun doing it.. and doing her job as well.. she told me she doesn't see it as a job....
really cool stuff.... sigh... i'm really glad to have found many doctors that are such in inspiration.. vs the many i've seen that are absolute horrid doctors... more character wise than anything else.... i guess it keeps you from being COMPLETELY jaded with the medical profession.. that it's not JUST about the money after all....
met with ning in the afternoon and went shopping in far east... and erm yeah i bought 2 tops... guess what?! THEY WEREN'T BLACK.... in fact it was one sky blue and one brown!:) limin aren't you proud! then we headed to heeren after that... and GUESS WHAT?! bought 2 tops from bodynits... both were GREY with RED, PINK, WHITE straps... ok so that sounds really horrible.. but i assure you it was tastefully done....
have decided that i'll try to find more clothes in far east.... am heading back with ning someday...
anyhow.. we went to nooch for dinner.... my gosh.. no offence to kai... but the service REALLY sucked!
1. they pushed us to another table only to realise that that table was taken up by another party... so we had to be ushered back
2. they took so long to serve our drinks... and since i had a bali hai (mango withlime juice.. really nice actually).. it was erm.. partially melted and dull looking... not to mention rather warm... was peeved..
strangely enough that place doesn't have a service charge... maybe it's built into the food price... either way... service not very good at all!:(
met up with mum to get a lift home.. she was having dinner with nicola and fern (that's part of her chinese name) 2 of her much loved ex-colleagues.... my gosh they've seen me when i was like... 13 man... sheesh.... i was so nerdy then haha... maybe i still am now.. who knows?!
daddy sent me an sms:
"Hello there! Where r u? Looks like everyone abandoned me 2nite :("
was so sad when i read that... i feel so bad now... oh well.. at least they're BOTH taking leave next week...
oh well got my AMENDED letter that says expiry of contract today.... by REGISTERED MAIL... they really panicked i guess....
*shrug* sometimes pple need a little motivation...
