met with a few RJ classmates... thanks guys... though the number was small.. i just thought i should meet you all one last time before i leave...
tried leading again in PIIGS or erm.. AHA as they call it now (church youth group) did Ephesians for them... thought it'd be a good way to start... esp since i'm sorta familiar with the material cos i did it for CG in glasgow....
not only does ephesians summarise the essence of the gospel at the start and teaches us how to continually give thanks to God and praise Him for the great thing He has done in our lives... it teaches us how to behave as a church.... how we are united in the body of Christ... i think that's what the church needs nowadays... unity.... with the numerous controversies (gay bishops and gay marriages)... seemingly materialistic Christians (wasn't there some public listing thing going on?!)... and the politics and power play (the church council meetings are the prime example)...
it seems that many are quickly losing sight of what the church is about... God.. Our Lord Jesus... and not letting the material things get in the way.. sigh... difficult... but it's important to remember that we are here to glorify God and not ourselves...
oh well.. hopefully this is the right way to go....
a friend is feeling rather depressed.... i can only pray for him... pray for strength.. and pray for encouragement....
take care my friend... you're stronger than all of this.
