so the girl i was talking abt got admitted in the end... apparantly she went over the edge.. sigh.... hope she recovers at least...
had a good talk with Dr Hong today in the clinic.. a female psychiatrist.... that to me is.. WOW...
i'd always thought that psychiatry was a really difficult specialty... how you should remain detached yet empathetic... not bringing your troubles home.. i mean some psychs actually end up in woodbridge themselves after all... it's really interesting to see her point of view.. and maybe psych isn't that bad a subject after all....
in any case she told me not to rush into choosing a specialty.. which i totally agree.. i feel when the time is right i'd know....
another thing i wanted to ask her about was the role of a female doctor... i realise that though i have been talking abt how females have to balance a lot.. with family and work.. and stuff like that... i haven't actually spoken to a female doctor abt it.. i think she really is quite an inspiring person.. and at the same time she's a very real person.. her life isn't without regrets...and now i REALLY think i shouldn't worry but whether in the future i might have different priorities.. i should just live in the present sometimes and take things as they come...
she was really nice abt this silly med student coming to talk to her.. and even said i could email her if i wanted to talk abt anything..
met up with paulina, cherlyn, junpei and ningsi today... the original reboot team! haha... ok.. twas great catching up with them all... haiyah can't believe it's been a year since we met..
queen cherlyn.. pls dont' eat before you meet your friends for DINNER next time....
