Books, stickers and wonderful people

i think that's a good way to sum up the past 2 days...

bought my med books for next year (after taking half day off work)... so far one neuroanatomy book and one embryology book.. still waiting on the paeds (erm paediatrics since some of you corrected me the other day *sheepish griN*) book and the OSCE book... OSCE is the clinical exam btw.... went to eat ban mien with alfred (the new medic!! the ONLY S'pore medic this year), siu kwan (darling 5th year! :) Dr wong very soon!:) ), carol and aaron... haven't had ban mien in a long time... *slurp* yum yum...

after that did a bit of shopping for mum... and got myself some strepsils for mum (who didn't want them in the end cos she wanted the sugar free ones.. i bought menthol... nice and cooling... had to eat them anyway.. having a sore throat and 3 ulcers myself)...

bought some stationery for the office.. name card holders and scotch tape... and bought some pouches for my various things.... my external hard disk and erm... believe it or not.. cds...

then headed back to bras basah to collect the books i bought.. then aaron wanted to have dinner (despite having lunch at 3.. MEN! *rolls eyes*) so we headed to ivin's near his place and ate peranakan food... damn full that day... and now i feel damn fat... have to go on a stricter diet....

today came back to work.. and tina (the silly AM) tells me that i have to label ALL the files of the counselling centre with the last 2 numbers of the ID numbers of the patient... all the counselling centre files are confidential so they don't go to the main medical records office (MRO) but anyway... imagine i have like 5 1.5 metre shelves full of files... and some of them i have to stand on the stool to label.. wah piang... sounds easy.. but the process is really really very very slow... i was so tired i slept through lunch.. despite all this... working at the counselling centre has really opened my eyes.. i think i see pple and appreciate pple in new ways.. for the sanity and insanity in us all.. you feel lucky that you're sane.. but know that you're not alone with your little neuroses....

had a 4 generation council buddy gathering today... caught up with all the latest council gossip and more importantly.. caught up with the 3 of them before:

A. Xuan Rong leaves for China to study
B. i leave for Glasgow

sigh.. twas a really good yet tiring day..

oh! forgot to mention... then tina came up and almost made me call up all the organisations she invited for the counselling centre open house.. but luckily soo li took pity on me and helped me call them up.... and mahya helped me out a little with the labelling....

sad thing though.. one of the fish in the fish tank is dying... on sat the small fish were actually snipping at the big fish (cos the small fish were carnivorous and the big fish were herbivorous) cos they weer all hungry.. the big fish were crouched in a corner! then today.. the fish food we gave them became all slimy and gross.. the tank got cloudy... not a good day at all the for the fish.. ironically the fish that's dying is the prettiest!:(

oh well... hoep they managed to resurrect the fish...
