Once again i've been a bad blogger... but have been really exhauted this week... phew!!!
Ok let's see what's happened since tues....
Celebrated kenneth's bday on tueday night... made grilled chicken that night with carol marinating and all...
Wednesday was my VS interview for my coursework... my patient was quite cool in that she really perceived health as a more social thing rather than a physical thing and that pple... i mean i know that's what we've been learning for the whole block.. but i guess actually seeing real pple say it makes a bigger impact than just research and sociology book write ups..... like i really didn't think that community spirit played SUCH a large part in life... i guess things are different in Singapore where life is so fast paced that you don't even have time to say hello/goodbye to your neighbours or even make an effort to get to know them... that's actually quite sad when i think abt it now... a lot of health issues are related to many social issues as well... and with this project i guess you really learn that it's only with community effort can you affect local changes in the area.... guess i really had to experience it to find that out...
The next day my VS grp met at the SL (that's the study landscape aka library to you ignorant little non-med pipsqueeks haha no lah... dunno why they must be so cheem) and hey i'm really happy to say that we work pretty well together... in fact we already planned everything out for the presentation and all that... i mean WOW... that's really fantastic man... i was worried we were going to linger and let things drone on.. glad to say that we haven't..... ahhh... VS grp starting to come together? considering we see each other only once a week as compared to my PBL grp.. i'll say we're doing pretty fine actually!:)
had THREE (count 'em) lectures on friday... correction... 3 USELESS lectures on friday... all dead boring... and i kept falling asleep.. the only mildly interesting one was the one on cardiology... cos hey... let's face it... with all the heart conditions in my family.. it's like WHOA haha... at least i know SOMETHING abt it from experience....
went for the GCCC EM that night as well... was quite nice seeing everybody again considering i've been away for so long.... as you guys could prob tell from the tagboard *rolls eyes* made sa por fan (canton claypot rice) that night as well... haha...
a funny thing happened on saturday.. i headed out to the chinese supermarket rather late.. silly me actually ... when i got there.... you could see the shutter coming down.. ok fine..walk over to the next one nearby... THE SAME DAMN THING.... hahah couldn't help it.. just burst out laughing lah... quite disappointed but mildly amused at the quirky things life throws at ya.... anyway.. went to Lidl.. the WONDERFUL german supermarket haha... and bought stuff for Cajun Chicken Tortillas which i made on Sunday night... yup.. i've officially gone MAD abt cooking haha... oh well as long as my work gets done... i guess if i have time i'll cook!
Will be cooking bah ku teh for cell grp on friday... hopefully i can get the pork ribs somewhere lah... if not i shall go against my culinary principles and use... chicken.. damn lame... *crosses fingers, toes and other appendages* hope i get the ribs...
Had the 2nd VS meeting this morning and i'll just have to prepare my part of the presentation for our wed meeting...... hopefully then we'll all be settled and we'd be able to give a good presentation on that day... FRIDAY... THIS friday to be exact.....we're VS grp on in grp B... so that means we're going first... damn....... haha... oh well...
Looks like it's gonna be another long week...
