IT SNOWED IT SNOWED!!!!! hahah yes yes i'm very happy to say i have FINALLY seen and touched snow for the 1st time in my life! haha i was so fascinated by it... i was in the car with karl at the time and was like trying to reach out and touch the snow... karl was looking at me funny haha.. i expect that he'd probably think it was weird abt me and snow.. oh well.. he's grown up here and all... so there!:)
had my 1st interview for my coursework today... it was really great... we covered the material for this week and the next interview as well... yay! so we don't have to go back next week.. incidentally she told us towards the end of the interview that she wouldn't be free for the next interview as she has to do her hospital visit on that day!
What really struck me about this woman was that she had incredible family support! they call her everyday and visit every weekend... her daughter visits her twice a week as well... and if she doesnt' pick up the phone they'd rush over immediately and bang on her door to see if she's alright! it so nice to see that her family cares so much for her... we should be so lucky if our families do the same for us next time... karl was like..i don't want to grow old haha... what a... peter-pan complex haha.. but yeah it IS hard to imagine ourselves old and dependent on others... but yeah... that family warmth really struck me today... and IT SNOWED!!! *beams* so nice, warm fuzzy feelings all over!:)
The past few days have been absolutely MAD and exhausting...*phew* at least the worst is over! monday was packed man... lab at nine and PBL at 3... ok it doesn't sound packed.. but the lab ended at like 11+ and then i had to rush home to revise PBL and cook lunch! haha oh well.... tuesday wasn't so bad... had lectures till like 1330 then headed to the SL(study landscape, the med sch library) to do some research... and since i was at the SL early...i got to chat with many of you guys back home! YAY!!! more warm fuzzy feelings! but erm that means that i left the SL at 4+.. w/out lunch haha... damn... oh well... Jock (that's his REAL name btw) who is in Carol's VS grp came over last night for dinner... and then we headed to Rob's room to watch O Brother Where Art Thou... BRILLANT film man... damn funny haha.. it's a parody of The Odessey! i think the greek mythology fans out there would be able to appreciate the movies better than most.. not that you wouldn't appreciate it on its own....
Then ben (rob's american pre-med foreign exchange student roommate.. what a mouthful!), rob, jock and carol headed over to Maya's room to watch Clockwork Orange with her and Gillian (Maya's good friend who pops by rather often... she goes to Strathclyde.. another Uni in Glasgow... but it's RIGHT in town man....) I couldn't watch it cos i had VS the next day and wanted to be fresh for my interview... plus karl was giving me a lift so i didn't want to be late...
and as you know today... IT SNOWED!!!:)
ok i think you guys get my point... SNOWING IS GOOD... SNOWING IS VERY VERY GOOD haha... ok then.. snow mania over.... i just finished transcribing my interview (no easy shit man) so my brain is shutting down and i STILL haven't finished my damn PBL... so annoying... sigh... at least PBL is at 3 and if i finish my PBL tonight i'll head to the gym tmr...
