Let's start with FRIDAY... 1stly NO MOCK EXAM.. it was gloriously cancelled.... they just gave out the mock exam paper and then let us take it home to do it... they'll still go through it next week so that's alright i suppose... flipped through the paper and realised DAMN haha... i really should study.... RIGHT... i really should though in all honesty.... :)
Then headed home and prepped the food for POTLUCK... yes it's the return of the mad medics potlucks... we seem to have a lot of those no? haha.... anyhow we had a potluck lunch... then i had a GUSS comm meeting... SIGH... but hey at least the medics met up for dinner as well! headed to town with the intention of watching paycheck... to those in singapore... yes.. we're slow.. it only JUST opened the other day... oops.... but then we decided to head to pizza hut for dinner instead... so that was my whole friday gone...
Then Sat... with my new reset body clock *insert multiple yays here* i rolled out of my bed at 1037 and headed to the gym... now that certainly was an interesting experience cos the roads were ICED over and i had to walk down a SLOPE to get to the gym... bet you guys are imagining me sliding down the slope right now... am i correct? well congratualations all you sadistic meanies out there... it HAPPENED.. i DID slip... but thankfully didn't fall... you know why? you won't believe this but i grabbed on to a nearby car parked next to the pavement i was walking on... thank GOODNESS i didn't scratch the car i tell ya! how terrifying would THAT have been?! sigh.....
The ice is no joke man... came back from the gym (it's easier to walk upslope than down i realise) showered and had brunch then headed to the chinese supermarket... guess what... MORE SLOPES.... albeit lower gradient slopes.. but still slopes nonetheless!
just to convince you all for how cold it truely was... i'll list another example... since you all could laugh at me... now you well can jolly well laugh WITH me haha...
Morag... one of my flatmates was abt to head down Great George Street to Byres road where all the shops are... to do her grocery shopping... now Great George Street is also a Great Downslope... Slope?! anyway... Mike... another of our flatmates warned her that it was icy and pple were slipping... she went to take a peek and lo and behold Mike was right... 4 pple slipped down the slope.... *WHHEEEE* welll...... not really fun while you're at it.... real funny in retrospect i suppose....
Today was a usual Glasgow Sunday for me! Church in the morning... lunch at the pub... fellowship in the afternoon... but tonight i went out with some fellowship pple! REAL FUN STUFF MAN!!! it was nice talking to the pple i was sitting with... esp since they were pple i hardly knew! it's great to meet new pple.... :) in fact i was shocked that some of the pple knew my name! cos well we weren't formally introduced.. ah well nice to know more pple yeah?:)
Phew... quite a weekend.. and next week seems to be equally busy! Monday will be curry at a fellow medics place... thursday.. which is CNY apparantly... will be my Cell Grp CNY dinner/meeting... friday will be the GUSS CNY dinner.... great stuff man... busy busy busy...
But school work wise... B.O.R.I.N.G. bleah and bah humbug! Sigh... must start my new year's resolution of keeping in touch with friends.. and Bert ironically started the ball rolling for me... thanks for the VERY sweet email bert! hmmm who shall i email tmr....
ok then you guys take care and like bert said... XIN NIAN KUAI LE!!! Counting down to CNY.....
