HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! hmm.... hope this year will be a good year for us all! Well it seems the tagboard is well received haha.. and erm well i finally figured out who EVERYONE is... haha.. bewildered for a bit... but it all stuck....

Everyone seems to ask me why i wasn't out... every year i spend new year's at the same place.. at home... on my two seater coach.. in front of the tv... except this year the TV is off... Tori amos is tonight's music of choice... dunno why... i don't feel much this year... maybe it's cos my academic term has barely started... so it's not really the beginning of the new year for me...

And what a year it's been... have seen a lot... experienced a lot.... it's been a good year overall... one of the years that i can safely say i don't quite remember the shittier parts! haha... that's a good sign man... i mean usually i remember the bad bits... .tis human nature no? but hey... it's weird that i remember the good parts this time round... but overall a nice feeling... Like i'm settled for once... not that new year isn't a big thing.. it's cool to welcome the new year... but new year has always been a lull for me...

Anyway... to update you with my ever boring life... i've been trying to upload pics... erm WELL TRYING as jov can well testify....and as you probably all can tell... a new blog layout... even for Asunder i tinkled with the blog template... villagephotos is down for now... so i can't host the pic as yet.. but i promise i WILL host the pic on villagephotos once the thing starts up again... so annoying these online photo thingys... anyway....

Have spent a shitloard of money in the past week... but hey things are cheaper here than in glasgow... so might as well shop till i drop... and don't shop at all in glasgow right? haha...

Meeting up with so many friends.. trying to pack in lunch and tea only... but it seems like an impossibility.... so now i'm only free for the last week i'm here... with few slots left! haha... i even had to get two friends to trade time slots since these army boys don't have time on weekdays! haha... the poor things....

But congrats to the seniors... only 5-6 months more to go then y'all will be free to rejoin the academic world.... Met up with Nev the other day and had a great time @ NYDC! Nice to know some things never change... with Nev's *ahem* applaudable sense of humour :P got to know why toilets in ships are called "heads" and that he *ahem* doesn't share my opinion that half the girls in Singapore are anorexic... but still nev.. you were MEAN... here i was bitching abt the anorexic state of the *ahem* youthful female population of Singapore... and there my dear angel goes... looks LEFT AND RIGHT VERY OBVIOUSLY and says loudly... NO I DON'T THINK SO.. wah lau...

Met up with BNgKY today... thanx for the pressie... will use it when i don't feel in tip top condition haha.....:) Introduced him to the lovely world of SECRET RECIPE CAKES... dear me they are THE BEST... had my brownie with walnut and a scoop of ice cream... DIVINE ORGASMIC BLISS haha.... hope you enjoyed the chocolate banana cake man.... and erm sorry for dragging you ard to shop with me!:) You were a great help though!

Speaking of food... i've been eating and eating since i got home... damn haha... nvmind lah.. covered a lot of the places i wanted to eat... sakae.. marche.. bread papa and auntie anne's... coffee club express... coffee bean and tea leaf... starbucks....tonnes of local food.... left with my salad from cafe cartel.. and maybe calamari from fish and co... still haven't had my ban mien from Liang Seah street... all in good time... meetings are all lined up... so thank you my dear friends who are meeting up with me at food places!

To my 21st... thank you for all that you guys have taught me... i don't think i'd be the person i was today if not for you guys... i seriously think i wouldn't be able to cope with life in glasgow if not for everything council has taught me!:P Ohh... and thanx for organising all the parties... the Council Christmas party @ Chris' (it's ALWAYS held there for some reason... oh and he still has my umbrella... damn)... and the Centro party....

Council Christmas party was good... and this year there was booze as well... has studying overseas turned all the overseas students into alcoholics? nah... i believe we all just appreciate *ahem* another aspect of our social lives THAT much more haha.... don't start checking us into AA ah....

Centro Party.. Ben, Kai, Ren, Shuzhen and Junda did an EXCELLENT job... ok so it was more the company than the music (I can't appreciate house... at least when i'm sober... and sitting down haha... need to dance for QUITE a while before i feel more... spontaneous?!) Had great fun dancing with Rory! and DRAGGGGGGGING bert to the dance floor was amusing at best... with luk pushing him from behind and two girls, ie me and rory dragging him by the arms... aiyo bert... well to be fair he DID say he needed to be sloshed before he could dance to this kind of music haha...

Left the club at 3+ not after downing... (count 'em) rum & coke.. Vodka & sprite (damn watered down... but who am i to refuse a free drink haha... thanx serene)... vodka redbull (thanx rory).. and finally a tequilla shot... the ONE thing you didn't feel when you 1st drank it but certainly once you walked out of the club... WHOA... i think the both of us were high.. and i think i just found a drinking buddy in rory.. a whisky drinking one at that.... haha.... In between all these drinks...i had sampled... long island... some weird beer mixture that rory ordered.. gin and tonic... whisky and coke.... damn... haha... no wonder they were worried abt us when we left the club haha....

Went to Lau Pa Sat for supper... my first time there.. quite ok lah the food... stayed till 4+ arrived home sharing a cab with rory and jeremy of the 20th at 0450.... ahh the latest i've ever stayed out! hmm... damn tired the next day though cos i had to wake up for church... but i shan't complain abt that since it was my fault to begin with...

Been meeting cher seemingly EVERYDAY... the girl is a good shopping partner.. went shopping with her like more than twice already! then i BUMPED into her AGAIN yesterday... wah lau... it was a traumatising time for us both when we saw each other at zara haha

Almost finished all the buildings i wanted to shop at..... have covered far east, PS, Raffles City, Centrepoint, Wisma, Taka, bugis junction, bugis village (have to go back to that one though cos i need a new bag to bring to sch.. the other one's falling apart).. meaning.. all i have left to cover is HEEREN... hahah oh well.... onward with the conquering....

Eating and Shopping.. i really am a true Singaporean.... will continue to blog abt the other stuff i've been up to lah...
