It's end of block today! for the unintiated... each term has two blocks so it's the end of block one for me! oh my gosh i can't believe it! 5 weeks gone ALREADY?! that's just SO insane!!! I can barely believe it...
well it certainly has been an interesting few weeks if i may say so myself... looking back at all the worries and concerns i've had.. it's amazing that i've made it this far! haha... faith in God's grace i suppose... I couldn't have done it without His help..
strangely.. because it's the end of block... i've been lazing ard the whole day.. and am now frankly QUITE exhausted... sigh... laziness promotes lethargy?! heh... charlotte's theory of hmm... the Ls in life?
Ok that's just mad... anyhow... went to watch the matrix last night! fabulous movie though i must say quite a few pple didn't like the ending... haha... shan't spoil it for ya if you haven't caught it yet... it was most interesting though... a lot of allusions to biblical verses and situations... but then again they say that the matrix is full of a mixture of the different religions of the whole... hmmm... that's smart in a way... mass appeal?
Just got a postcard from jov today.. it says she reads my blog! HEY JOV!!!*waves*
Anyhow.. blogging from my mum's friend's house now cos i'm here to pick up my care package from my folks back home and of course to visit the wonderful pple who first made Glasgow home for me!:P
SIGH.. next block is anatomy... form and function is the theme i believe... and dissection is the word of the block i suppose... some days i even have 4 hours of dissection.. with breaks in between... i just hope i don't faint man....
Anyhow... submitted my course work yesterday... it was a ridiculous 17 pages thick.. my friends think i'm mad haha... ok lah.. i work hard during the block then relax more during the block break lah (even if the block break is like one weekend long haha).. anyhow... quite pleased with my progress this term... though i must say i've slacked off a few times.. but i think i've gotten quite a good grasp of when to play and when not to... i guess you really grow indepedent away from your folks at home huh..
carol is off this weekend to the church weekend retreat which i didn't go for... sigh... oh well... i have 5 years here anyway... could always go next year or something...
another thing i've missed is guy fawkes night... it's actually on nov 5... and pple have been setting off fireworks at all hours of the night for the past few weeks to celebrate guy fawkes! on nov 5.. it was ESPECIALLY noisy! oh man.. you won't believe it... sirens going off constantly (from the fire brigade i suppose) and fireworks (basically loud loud loud bangs in the middle of the night.. damn annoying after a while... loses the novelty when you hear it every night grr... esp when you're trying to complete your coursework!)
on wednesday night the SingHealth pple came down to talk to us...intended to skip it.. but aaron dragged me down *evil evil* to quote my conversations with ningsi! cos he kena saboed to organise it.. wah lau haha.... oh well... there was free food... can't pass that up when you're a poor student haha... but oh well...
have been eating quite unhealthily lately haha... on matrix night (thursday night) went to this restaurant called kama sutra (eh kama not karma ah) but hey the difference in spelling doesn't mean squat.. cos they had like murals of the karmasutra painted on the walls... and we had a buffet in the basement... when i walked down i thought of three words... DEN OF SIN... haha it REALLY looked like that... dark and all that... some REALLY funny pics came up haha... cos of all the candle light we looked like we were at a seance or something like that haha but den of sin... very fitting haha... oh yeah and to make things even funnier.. kama sutra is a branch of the harlequin restaurant chain... i nearly died when i saw that!:P
sigh... i'm determined to go read EVERYONE'S blogs now... and i think i might have to include more and more links... like jov's and karen lee's... hmm if i could remember the addys though... *furrows brow*
ok then that's all for me for now... off to read others blogs!:P
