Wow.... last night was real fun... and exhausting i must say....
My stew didn't turn out half bad and was quite well received.... kenneth's cauliflower and broccoli gratin was good as well... ramesh's pasta was EXCELLENT (ate too much of that man... DIET DIET i hear myself scream!).. then Shaanka and Sivaraj's curry was equally good.... and aaron? well... aaron bought pizza and baugette haha... they were nice too.... except everyone else actually COOKED the food from stratch?! haha...
Ok so some of you are probably wondering who these guys are...and erm WHY were there only guys there....
Well the second question is easier to answer... seems like the girls weren't too keen on the potluck in the middle of the week so they gave that a pass....
the first question... well those are all my fellow male medics who came over from singapore except shaanka who... a) is from m'sia (so is kenneth but hey he's PRACTICALLY singaporean) b) in engineering....
yep and last week we saw them like once or twice in the WHOLE week... it was THAT bad... i mean these are our friends from S'pore... and you don't see them for like the whole week!? that just won't do man.. haha... yeah well so we decided to have a potluck... and we're thinking of making it biweekly too!:P
yeah well so maybe we shouldn't have had it on a wed... but oh welll... oh btw... aaron is the saboed prez of sing soc... kenneth the saboed event coordinator... haha... oh well...
Right now i'm once again having problems with parents... HUH?! but i'm not even at home? yeah well email and all that....
There's actually this weekend retreat for the GCCCEF (Glasgow Chinese Christian Church English Fellowship) but it's at the lakes.... folks wont' let me go but i really wanna go... sounds like some super old story right? but oh well... trying to reason with them is actually easier so many miles away... cos you don't have direct confrontation and sometimes that's better.. coming to blows with my parents isn't something i care to repeat very often...
SIGH... that's life i suppose... oh well have to rush off to the bank now... will say more abt whether i'm eventually going for the retreat soon!:P
