Snappish-ness rules the day in the House of Tai.

Perhaps it's anxiety... but I'm getting crankier... and so is my mum....

I attribute it to my impending departure...

Is this what you were talking about sis? As the days pass I think i snap more.... have a shorter temper.. gather it's the pre-departure panic setting in.... SIGH... oh well just have to deal with it like life's other stresses..

To think my first blog on my new laptop would be such an angsty one... oh well to recall happier memories of the days that have past....

The day before:

Went with Wenz to Marine Parade CC to catch Enz in action.... quite a good show i must say... all monologues... pretty interesting experience.... quite an eye-opener for me.... now even more tempted to join drama when i get to Glasgow... well the seniors say there's time during the first year to join a CCA of some sort.. but we'll see... i must be a chao mugger there... can't afford to let my parents down....

Caught a lift from Enz parents as we all zipped down after the performance to head to Rory's farewell party...

Twas great to meet up with so many 21st again... sigh... hope to see all of them at my farewell as well... have to plan all that...

Note to self: prepare various notes and gifts for my friends before i leave... sudden it all seems too soon.... so little time left.... sigh... now i know what you were talking about sis...

Yesterday:

Sent Rory off at the airport... the poor girl cried in the end (WE'LL MISS YOU RORY!!!:P) got a lift from dex there(who FINALLY got ICQ, MSN all at one shot... well dex let's just say you were very focused back in school yeah? :P)....

Then got a lift from clement (so proud of you da jie... you finally know how to prevent me from whacking you!:P haha *snigger*) to PS... where I arrived for the Sec 2 Reboot team gathering like half an hour late... BIG JAMS on the roads that day man.... well suppose sundays are like that...

Anyhow... had the greatest time catching up with the Rebbot team... sans Cherlyn and Weilin.... Hope cherlyn's sermon went well... in fact... i'm wondering how come she had to give the sermon in the first place... hmm... shall ask her when I meet up with her this Thursday to watch Legally Blonde 2 with Jovine...

Note to self: find someone to watch pirates of the carribean with me... Xinyi keeps raving abt it... haha... or rather raving abt johnny depp and orlando bloom... but hey they're easy on the eyes haha... so who's complaining!:P

Anyhow back to the Reboot reunion... glad I got to see them one last time.. twas great reminiscing on the old times.... remembering all the quirks of the old teachers... so in honour of Teachers' Day... here's a run down of my more memorable teachers haha...

Primary 5/6:
Ms Leong Oon Ho who encountered so much trouble with our class... i recall the year after i graduated (boy that was a long time ago... must go visit again...) she seemed to have lost so much weight.. rather scary... wonder how she is now though.... well i though she was an ok teacher despite almost everyone around me hating her... quite drama when i think back now.. haha and we were just 11 or 12 back then! how vindictive! Well and she's the only teacher who stuck out in my mind...

Sec 1:
Mr Foo KS who fell asleep during our Chang Ee presentation haha... but chinese was quite fun cos of him lah haha...
Ms Esther Chong who wouldn't stop raving about Calgary and for some weird reasons I remember her raving abt bananas as well haha... the rest remembered that she used to talk abt very hot curry to keep warm in Canada haha... and hey i rememeber getting full marks for that geog newspaper assignment she gave us cos my research was VERY thorough haha but i was exhasuted by the time i finished it i seem to recall..
Mrs Chin.. co-form teacher... and all round wonderful person... she was like a mother to us all

Note to self: Don't over do things... unnecessary... which leads to another gripe... pple telling me to relax.... it's annoying sometimes... cos sometimes i'm just being over-dramatic haha... that's another story though...

Sec 2:
Pervey Lit teacher who i shall decline to name and that ridiculous sniggering joke abt that poor girl's blouse size.. i'm still disgusted till this day haha...
Horrible chinese teacher known to most as Chicken backside... in Chinese of course haha.... she made me hate chinese with a vengence... ruined it for me in fact sigh...

Sec 3:
Gong lao shi! The super nice teacher... rekindled an interest in chinese for me!:P
Mrs Newby the british geog teacher who drew stick figures raising their hands on her geog diagrams on the board..."Why is the stick figure raising his hand? Cos it wants to answer geography questions!" were her infamous lines!:P

Sec 4:
My FAVOURITE TEACHER: Mrs Tan Yioe Hwa... form teacher sec 1 and Sec 4... lower sec science teacher and upper sec chem teacher... she really is THE BEST man... I recall being inspired by her... her caring ways really hit our class deep... i seem to recall that w had on eof the best attendances our batch during school functions... even the more pai ones would show up just cos we didn't want to give her any trouble. Then there was Chemistry.. under her tutorlege, i really really loved the subject and chem came really easlily to me just as my lower sec science (also taught by her) did.. She lead and taught by example.. and her sincerity and kindness won us over.... shall have to use the word inspiration again... cos that's what she was... a TRUE inspiration...

J1/2:
Mr Yap.. dear CT and well frankly lots of bad english.. but he really came through in the end.. i still recall him talking to me abt school work when my grades were down cos i was spending too much time on council work....
Mr Yeo... another fantastic chem teacher! (that's why chem is my fav subject!:P) he's another teacher who i felt lead by example and earned the respect of our class cos well he was the only teacher that stood up for us during lectures and gave us respect... another true inspiration... pple will rush to do chem homework so that we didn't disappoint him! Imagine that!
Ms Chan... dear physics teacher with an unnaturally high voice at different parts of her speech.. haha... oh well she still very very nice... and even called me up to thank me for the thank you note i left at her desk... had a good talk with her when i went back....
Mr Ho.. the poor teacher who accidently wrote "sex" instead of "sec x" during our revision lectures.. but other than that... a wonderful teacher who was very helpful.. and incidently he's apparantly the most eligible meal teacher in RJ.. go figure..
Mr Chia... Ah Gp lessons...the only lessons where everyone shut up... cos he would ask for opinions on the matter and well... no one would respond.. sigh.. but GP was ok i suppose... stimulates the non-science part of my brain.... thank goodness there was some of that going on.... or i would only know science science science... not exactly very good yeah?

Ah anyway.. whether good or bad... i wish all teachers a very Happy Teacher's Day... they deserve the recognition after all they have to go through!:P
