Oh gosh... it's been so long since i've updated... just to reassure pple like sis and limz... I'm still alive... and still reading your blog respectively...

So many things have happened over the past few days... well i've been shopping since my tops are quite well dowdy and above all... ITCHY... some of them REALLY make to stratch and it's VERY annoying... cos I break out in rashes... mum's reigning me back haha... cos it's always either too thin... made of the wrong material... and hey... it's very practical advice... but hey i can also wear lots of THIN thermal underwear and that should keep me warm even if i have thin tops...:P

Another thing was moving into my hostel... ok so moving in was a weird experience... don't get me wrong all my stuff is now in place but at night... it's DAMN cold cos the heaters shut off at 12 and after that.. the temp drops so you have to be in bed by then to avoid the cold...

Mum bought me a fleece underblanket and that would hopefully keep my bed warm....

Banking was another nightmare.. i've never spent so much waiting time at a bank before just to set up a student account! But then again.. that branch didn't have many student accounts being opened there so the poor girl wasn't quite sure how to go about doing it... so at first she told me i couldn't even OPEN the students account... but a 'cashmasters' account... which wouldn't give me ANY interest at all cos i didn't have an income... welll HELLO... which student has a income... working while studying is HELL i tell you.... i've heard the stories at least.... anyhow... she called the university branch of the bank and asked them how to go about processing the application... (FYI: I didn't go to the uni branch cos the queue was like SUPER long cos every student wants to open an account) and hey i finally got mmy account!:P

Next thing was the health check... i thought it was gonna be a long long process... but then HEY they just took a vial of my blood and that was that... though now i have a big "ORH CHEH"... bruise lah basically... in all it's reddish ugly glory... oh well... i'm wearing long sleeve here so heck... who cares!

Went to watch my first movie in glasgow the other day... 'Underworld' the vampire vs lycans (werewolves for the uninitiated) movie starring Kate-the-tragic-female-lead-in-pearl-harbour-Beckingsdale... Gosh I love the Goth like sets and Erica's clothes! sigh... oh well... no figure no hope right? haha... oh well butit's cold here so must eat or you'll seriously catch a cold haha...

Another point to note about movies... the highest rating here is 18... so basically i can watch ANY movie I want... *rubs hands in glee* haha...

Oh well I matriculate on Wednesday and with that i'll get my internet access in the MacMillian reading room... which is bascially a Computer room... with like TONNES of computers... pple queue up just to get access man.. haha... but hey it opens till 2am and it's like 5 mins from my apartment so it's thumbs up on my end...

Love my flat though... it's great location makes me and Carol (roommate, 2S03J 2002 alumni like myself) the envy of many students.. i can get to the med sch in like 5-10 mins *evil laughter*

One thing though.. there are quite a few parties going on at night since it's freshers' week... many come back quite drunk.. the thing is i was sleeping and suddenly there was this yelling and banging at my door... i just turned over and went back to sleep... i had my alarm clock and my personal alarm next to my bed and i sleep next to my desk which has *gasp* sharp things if the need ever arises... oh well... i think that's being a little paranoid haha.. but i DO sleep next to my desk simply because it's arranged that way.. i should be fine lah.. just have to lock my doors at night and evade the drunken revlry that's all...
